Medizyme can be used for manual and ultrasonic instrument cleaning of equipment.  Medizyme is a specialised enzymatic detergent solution that is capable of removing blood and other protein deposits. Medizyme rapidly solubilises and disperses blood, body tissue, carbohydrates, mucopolysaccharides, lipids and other proteinaceous soils. When combined with physical cleaning, Medizyme provides an effective method for cleaning complex instruments. Medizyme is effective in hard and soft water.

For Ultrasonic Cleaning:

  • Fresh ready to use solution should be made daily. Dilute 6mL Medizyme per litre of water (60mL MEDIZYME per 10 Litre tank). Medizyme should be added after the tank is filled and before the transducer is activated. Normal cycles should be followed. The solution should be changed when the degree of fouling exceeds the practical limits for the class of work involved (when it is cloudy). Caution: Due to the possibility of creating aerosols with ultrasonic cleaners it is recommended that lids or other suitable engineering control measures are used while these devices are operating. Micro aerosols may increase allergenicity potential for some individuals.
